Self Gardening
I thought about this plant when I read this quote from James Allen: “As the plant spring from, and could not be without the seed, so every act of man springs from hidden seeds of thought, and could not have appeared without them. This applies equally to those acts called “spontaneous” and “unpremeditated” as to those which are deliberately executed”
Everything that is done in our life comes from a seed being planted with in us at one time or another. But what bothered me when reading this quote was that some of us have seeds of doubt planted in us by others. Maybe a parent or teacher who belittles us or maybe a television show that subtly indoctrinates us that fathers of the home are the imbeciles. Then we start to act accordingly.
This is when I thought about the Mullein. Sometimes we plant it ourselves not knowing that it originated from Asia and is choking out our native plants. We find it appealing. So sometimes we find a plant growing and it is up to us to pluck it out. Either way, a seed was planted and if we don’t do our own self-gardening, we may end up with a bad plant in our self. One that will, in time, choke out our true self and disallow us to realize our true potential and beauty.
